The new faulting-block structure map for the Tunka rift basin is constructed with the complex account of the data of faulting zone and cracking structural observations, lineament analysis of topographic maps, state geologic maps and some other. On the investigated area 270 observation points are documented, including 65 in the Late Cenozoic deposits. These field data formed the base for specification of the new and validation of old known faults. The conclusion about faulting structure of the Tunka rift being a reflection of oblique extension process is based on correlating the modeling data with the real structural setting.
