REVISION OF THE GROUP CHORISTITES PRISCUS AND THE NEW SUBGENUS CHORISTITES (PRISKITES)

Abstract

The Choristites priscus group is revised. A neotype of Spirifer priscus Eichwald, 1840 is chosen from the topotype specimens to become a type species of the new subgenus, Choristites (Priskiles). A new species, Ch. (Choristites) rotayi, from the Middle Carboniferous of the Donets Basin is described.
