The study of granitoid plutons and their mapping is often hindered by the uniformity of their mineral and chemical compositions. Our investigation was done on the Kanzybinskiy granitoid pluton, near whose contacts are iron deposits of the Krasnyy Kamen' group and ore shows of other metals. Petrographic investigation revealed the heterogeneity of the Kanzybinskiy pluton. We made a special study of the Kanzybinskiy pluton using mineralogic mapping methods, which included studying the variability of plagioclases and potassic feldspars, as well as their X-ray luminescence and structural ordering. X-ray luminescence analysis is a fairly rapid and low-cost method and, therefore, can be widely used by industrial geological organizations.
