The authors compare data on concentrations of selenium and tellurium in granitoid rocks of different geochemical types and consider the behavior of these elements during granitoid magma differentiation. Selenium in the rocks was determined by the fluorometric method with 2,3-diaminonaphthalene. To determine tellurium, the method of extractive atomic-absorption analysis was used, improved by taking into account publish data. The detection limit of selenium and tellurium in the analytical solution was less than 0.001 μg·ml -1. No control determination of selenium and tellurium concentrations in five international standard samples of igneous rocks deviated to either side from the certified values by more than 30 percent. Additional study results are discussed.
