Synthesis of the BaSO4-BaCrO4 scries crystals was carried out by the method of chemical reaction with counter diffusion of components within systems BaCl2-K2SO4-K2CrO4-H2O and BaCl2-K2SO4- К2Сг2От-H2O in water media (20° C). Products of the synthesis are represented by barite, hashemite and some mixture crystals, where S and Cr contents arc limited by 0.30-0.33 atomic units. There were distinguished among them 9 morphological types, by character of their flattening and directions of the individual elongation. Dependence of the habit of these crystals upon their isomorphic composition is non-monotonous. The morphological individualism of the mixture crystals may be looked as a sequence of difficult capture of isomorphous components during the slow crystallization. Development of {010} faces, especially on the mixture crystals, is intensified by influence of the active organic admixtures Cl6H33NC2H5Br and [СН2СНОН~]„ (10 3 wt %).
