Anchitherium is known from a number of fossil localities in Kazakhstan, spanning a time range from the early Middle Miocene to the early Late Miocene, or some 10 Ma. For the first time these finds, mainly of isolated teeth, are described together for their morphology and compared for their size with finds from elsewhere, chiefly from Central Europe. Dating anchithere finds on the basis of dental size is briefly discussed.
