The taxonomic composition of the Late Permian terebratulids of Darvaz is analyzed and a new genus Fredericksolasma, the species Rostzantens ovalefonnis are established. The ontogeny of the brachidium in Heterelasmina cuboides and Fredericksolasma lata is studied. The presence of the terebratuloid and loboidothyroid type of the brachidium ontogeny, previously recorded in the Mesozoic terebratulids, indicates that the superfamilies Terebratuloidea and Loboidothyroidea appeared in the Late Permian.
