The recent acquisition of new geophysical data on the Arctic Basin has made it possible to reanalyze the entire existing body of data, using as a baseline the regional Trans-Arctic Geotraverse, on which we shall construct the latest model of the crust, based on all available geophysical data. Because mathematical techniques are used in its derivation, this model is fairly objective. The modeling results are presented here. We fitted to the data a model consisting of a two-dimensional stratified medium defined in terms of a system of bodies of arbitrary shapes, with specified densities.
