ORE MINERALS IN ASH ERUPTED BY KARYMSKY VOLCANO IN JANUARY 1996

Abstract

The basaltic andesite ash ejected by Karymsky during its January 1996 eruption was found to contain magnetite, ilmenite, hematite, and pyrite. Native aluminum and α-iron were discovered in the ash for the first time.
