THE AZERI, LASNAMAGI, AND UHAKU ORDOVICIAN HORIZONS OF THE LENINGRAD REGION AND THEIR TRILOBITE AND OSTRACODE FAUNAS

Abstract

Data on lithology, trilobites, and ostracodes from the Azeri, Lasnamagi, and Uhaku horizons of the Ladoga structural-facies zone are discussed. Biostratigraphic subdivision based on asaphids (trilobites) has been conducted, and the Azeri ostracode assemblage including over 20 species has been distinguished. The new ostracode species Steusloffia volkhovi sp. nov. is described and most characteristic trilobite and ostracode taxa are illustrated.
