Abstract:
This work generalizes international and Russian experience in the deep processing of complex refractory ores of precious metals, which provides end products competitive with respect to technological, economic, and ecological criteria. Based on the mineral and chemical compositions and the morphometric properties of ores, concentration products, and tailings, methods of disclosure of gold-bearing sulfides are justified, among which are fine grinding; autoclave, chemical, and biohydrometallurgical oxidation; low-temperature roasting; and the action of high-power electomagnetic pulses. This work also presents results of implementation (in Russia and other countries) of the technology of disclosure of refractory gold-bearing ores, the underground and heap leaching of low-grade ores and tailings, and new processes of complex treatment of disseminated Cu-Ni ores and pyrrhotite-bearing products resulting in high-grade concentrates of platinum group elements.
