Abstract:
New taxa of the family Tomiidae, Paratomia pectinata gen. et sp. nov., Tomia antiqua sp. nov., T. cancellata sp. nov., T. ramosa sp. nov., T. sennikovi sp. nov., and T. dura sp. nov., are described from the Upper Permian and Lower Triassic of Russia. The type species of the genus Tomia, T. costalis, is redescribed. A key to the species of Tomiidae is compiled. Tomiids are stratigraphically important, their dominance being characteristic of the lower half of the Triassic and possibly also the terminal Permian.
