Continents and supercontinents

Abstract

This book deals with continents, where more than 95% of the earth’s population lives. We discuss the present state of knowledge on the origin and evolution of continents. We pose a number of questions and attempt their answers. Many of these are controversial, and potential clues have to be sought from future research.
